Physician - Pulmonologist

SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am to 5:00pm
- No Evenings
- No Weekends
- No On-Call

COMPENSATION:
- $400,000+ Base Salary, negotiable depending on experience
- $50,000 Sign-On Bonus

This innovative private practice combines the highest quality of pulmonary care with modern technology, to ensure the best results possible for their patients and clinicians.  They offer services such as pulmonary rehabilitation, medication monitoring, patient education, and smoking cessation, also using a proprietary app that functions via bluetooth on patients’ phones, sending real-time data to the office.  They are currently hiring due to growth.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is an outpatient pulmonology role that includes, but is not limited to:

- patient consultations
- evaluation and management
- pulmonary function testing
- pulmonary rehabilitation
- smoking cessation
- vaccination counseling
- telehealth visits
- bronchoscopies

Physicians see an average of 17 to 18 patients per day, with the support of dedicated clinical assistants.

The practice uses the Athena EHR and has a technical team responsible for their proprietary app, which provides clinicians with real-time data on patients’ health conditions.  

The app uses bluetooth technology for virtual monitoring of pulmonary functioning, automatically transmitting from patient smartphones into the EHR.  This allows for more effective patient monitoring, which reduces hospital and ER visits by providing better health outcomes.

There are no evening, weekend, or on-call responsibilities, providing excellent work/life balance.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Alabama medical license
- DEA
- Board Eligible or Certified, Pulmonology
- no experience required; new graduates are welcome to apply
